Israel is a bridge to invest in Cyprus
By: Gastón Saidman
Israel’s geographic location offers investors access to the Mediterranean Sea and, thanks to the Abraham Accords, to the Middle East. While the war situation in the region is not the most demanding, the Israeli business community knows how to distinguish between the Palestinian population and the Hamas terrorist organization. This indicates that, once the war is over and this destructive organization is eliminated, a window of commercial opportunity is expected to be open, taking full advantage of the potential that can be realized within this framework, something the Middle East, of course, is waiting for.
The Israel-Cyprus Chamber of Commerce is an important entity thanks to its activities and the commitment of its Board of Directors. It works with governments and business circles to strengthen bilateral markets, a task it carries out with great success. The result is reflected in a series of events where a catalog of business opportunities between the two sides is presented to the members.

On May 5, IMH and Invest Cyprus organized the “Doing Business with Cyprus 2025” event, with the participation of members of the Israel-Cyprus Chamber of Commerce. The goal was to offer an attractive business environment for companies, entrepreneurs, and private investors. The event included an engaging panel where participants learned about the current economic landscape and investment opportunities in Cyprus, as well as information on how to start a business, legal frameworks, emerging technologies and innovation potential, and a future for high-net-worth individuals.

These types of events share the Chamber’s vision of contributing to business and economic development between countries. The Chamber’s contribution also includes providing services that include private consultants, accountants, legal professionals, and advisory services. Cooperation in these types of events involves connecting the parties with private capital, fund and asset managers, and high-level professionals operating in the financial services sector in general.

CEO of the Israel-Cyprus Chamber of Commerce Mr. Eran Cohen stated: “Our Chamber will continue to deepen and promote trade relations between the countries. More events will be announced soon.”
